Hi I'm Abhinav (They/them)!
Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in Robotics Engineering at the MER Lab in Worcester Polytechnic Institute. My research focuses on developing vision-based control and manipulation algorithms for soft robots. I am interested in investigating the applications of soft robots in assistive robotics, surgical robotics, and environmental robotics.
Outside the lab you can find me hiking the NH 48 peaks or sailing in the Boston harbor. If you're interested in my adventures in robotics or nature feel free to reach out!

Title: Vision-based Control of Soft Continuum Robots
Committee: Dr. Cagdas Onal, Dr. Loris Fichera, Dr. Zhu Mao
Advisor: Dr. Berk Calli
My paper titled, "Grow-to-Shape Control of Variable Length Continuum Robots via Adaptive Visual Servoing", was accepted to IROS for an oral presentation. I also had the opportunity to present my research at the SOFT Frontiers Workshop.
